SuperFlash Hosts AWS Cleveland
WESTLAKE, OH – On April 8, 2025, SuperFlash Compressed Gas Equipment welcomed members of the AWS Cleveland Section to its Westlake, Ohio facility for an informative and interactive evening focused on compressed gas safety. The event brought together a diverse group of professionals from across the welding, fabrication, and industrial gas sectors, all united by a shared commitment to workplace safety and innovation.
The highlight of the evening was an expert-led presentation by
Kurt Tarkany, SuperFlash’s National Sales Manager. With over two decades of experience in compressed gas systems and safety, Tarkany delivered a compelling session on the properties of various gases, the dangers of improper gas mixing, and the critical role of flashback arrestors and other safety devices. He emphasized not only how these components work, but also the importance of routine maintenance and proper installation to mitigate risks in everyday operations.
“Events like this are a great way to share knowledge and reinforce the importance of safety in our industry,” said Tarkany. “We were excited to connect with the AWS community and highlight how small changes in equipment and awareness can make a big difference.”
Attendees also participated in a guided tour of the SuperFlash facility, where they observed safety innovations in real-time and gained insight into the company’s engineering and product development processes.
The evening featured complimentary food and beverages courtesy of the AWS Cleveland Section, creating a welcoming environment that encouraged meaningful networking and professional dialogue. Conversations throughout the event focused on emerging safety standards, new technologies, and best practices for gas handling across various applications.
